During the Outlander red carpet premiere at this year’s Comic-Con, we were lucky enough to chat with some of the cast and crew, including Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe. In our exclusive interview, Sam and Cait tell us what fans would most be surprised to learn about each other, which you can check out in the clip below. Love these two!
We were lucky enough to get the chance to interview some of the cast and crew of Outlander at the red carpet premiere earlier this summer in San Diego. Now that the crush of interviews has past, we thought we’d share our interview with Diana Gabaldon and Ron Moore, who discuss the episode eight cliffhanger, as well as which scene came closest to Diana’s imagination.
Now that I’ve come out of my Comic-Con haze, I’ve created a new gallery of all of my photos from Friday’s event. In the gallery below you’ll find all of my pics from the red carpet (or should we say tartan carpet) premiere, followed by the cast Q&A session with Sam, Cait, Lotte, Graham, Tobias, Diana, and Ron. The cast rolled up to the tartan carpet in classic 1940s cars, and followed bagpipers and lads in kilts onto the press line. After we had our chance to chat with the cast and crew, we all went inside the theatre and were treated to a performance by composer Bear McCreary, who played some classic Scottish tunes and debuted the theme he wrote for Claire and Jamie. Seeing the first episode on the big screen was truly a remarkable experience, and I I think it’s safe to say that I wasn’t the only one in the audience with goosebumps and a lump in their throat. The first episode was everything I could hope for (the second, which I screened before the premiere, is just as good, but that’s all I’ll say for now). I don’t think you will be disappointed with the show. Starz and the cast and crew have done an amazing job, and it’s everything I could hope for and more. WHAT: The premiere of the highly anticipated STARZ Original series “Outlander” will be held at a red carpet gala event during San Diego Comic-Con 2014. Moore, author Diana Gabaldon, Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Tobias Menzies, Graham McTavish and Lotte Verbeek will be in attendance and do a panel session.
